Any differences between KUKKIWON Dan and LOCAL Dan?
Kukkiwon Taekwondo Academy is the only authorized academy of World Taekwondo Federation (WTF), lies in South Korea, handles promotion test and distributes Dan to the Taekwondo practitioner globally. Thus the Dan distributed by Kukkiwon Academy is Kukkiwon Dan. However, some associations or dojangs often distribute Dan certificate locally printing the "Dan certificate" on local press, sign the certificate personally and acknowledge as First Dan, Second Dan, Third Dan and so on. Such Dan are known as LOCAL Dan as they are false and lack universal approval. It is a sheer tragedy that even the Dojangs/Associations who have been distributing such certificates are registered with government or Olympic committee. Dan certificate from Kukkiwon academy is only the recognized certificate globally. Except this, other Local Dan is worthless and ZERO VALUE on any international level.
Is it true that the 4th Dan or higher local Dan holder can't participate on International Instructor Course & International Referee course organized by WTF?
No one can participate on any international program without Kukkiwon Dan. Kukkiwon Dan is only recognized Dan globally.
What is the policy of All Nepal Taekwondo Academy on Dan promotion?
All Nepal Taekwondo Academy is giving her own certificate up to RED BELT/HALF BLACK. Who succeeded BELT PROMOTION TEST are eligible for Black Belt and higher Dan will recommend for their certificate on Kukkiwon Academy, Korea.
